Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Ibrahim G. Wahby Rev. Wahby has been called to be Minister of the Chapel Place Presbyterian Church as of January 2006.

Rev. Wahby graduated from the Presbyterian Seminary in Cairo in 1998.

Prior to leading Chapel Place Presbyterian Church in Canada, he was, for 6 years, the minister of Mallawy Presbyterian Church in Egypt.

Along with his ministry at the Mallawy Church, Rev. Wahby also developed training modules specifically designed for pastors and leaders. His programs were taught at the "Spiritual Training Center" in Cairo, Egypt.

In addition, he worked with "Veritas Egypt Bible College" to train pastors and Church leaders on the Bible Exegesis Foundation and Interpretation.

Rev. Wahby has been invited to preach in many churches throughout Egypt. He was also the keynote speaker in numerous conferences, spiritual revival meetings and youth

Work experience:
2006-present: Associate Pastor at Chapel Place Presbyterian Church, Markham Ontario.
2003-2006: Interim Pastor at Chapel Place Presbyterian Church, Markham Ontario.
1985-2002: heavily involved in Egypt as a Director and Head of the following: the Conference and training Centre, the Christian Literature Publishing House, the Adult Education and Rehabilitation Programs, the Curriculum Committee, the Human Resources Development Department and the public Services Department.
1970-1985: Deputy, General Director of Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services.
Personal and Educational Profile:
1962: Bachelor of Theology of Evangelical Seminary of Egypt.
1963-1970: Ordained as Minister/Pastor at the Evangelical/Presbyterian Church of Egypt. Since 1970, has been involved in the promotion of social justice through organizing educational programs for both genders including training seminars.
1981: Diploma in Development Studies at Coady International Institute, Canada.
1992: Doctor of Ministry in Theological Perspective of Human Rights Related to Wo
men in the Egyptian Church. SFTS, USA.
